DUDAL’s Signet Series is a collection built around dense hand-carved patterns contained within familiar and restrained forms.
This series began with a more restrained approach compared to DUDAL’s previous works.
Instead of relying on bold and sculptural silhouettes, the collection adopts familiar forms and fills them with DUDAL’s sculptural language.
Each piece takes inspiration from organic flows found in nature such as scales, feathers, waves, and mountain ridges, yet the intention is not simply to depict nature itself.
Rather than focusing on literal forms, DUDAL is drawn to the repetition, rhythm, density, and structure that exist within them.
Every pattern is carved entirely by hand.
Repeated lines and dots arranged through deliberate rhythms create surfaces filled with order, flow, and density.
From a distance, each piece reads as a singular form, but upon closer inspection, countless carved details and layered patterns begin to emerge.
